ANALISIS NILAI SURPLUS KONSUMEN DAN PRODUSEN IKAN SEGAR DI KOTA KUPANG

Studi Kasus pada Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) Oeba

Abstract

This study aims to determine the value of consumer surplus and producer surplus
contained in Oeba Fish Landing Base. The research method used is case study. Technique of
taking data with observation, interview and documentation on object of research. The results
show that consumer surplus is bigger than surplus of producer. This means that the benefits
enjoyed by consumers are greater than producers. This is related to the structure of Market
in Fish Landing Base Oeba which is perfect competition market.
Producen Surplus value for Commodities Skipjack (Stalls Large) is Rp 2.174.800 and
Surplus Consumer is Rp 804 360. Consumer Surplus value for Commodities Yellow Striped
Fish (Stalls Large) is Rp 7.417 and Surplus Producen is Rp 3.802. Consumer Surplus Value
for Bloated Commodities is Rp 1.338.600 and Surplus Producen is Rp 959.080.
From the results of this study suggested that the relevant government able to
formulate policies that can create a market balance in the Landing Base Fish Oeba.
