This article discusses the process of resolving disputes in Islamic banking in Indonesia, which includes relevant laws, related institutions, and alternative methods that align with Sharia principles. The focus of this study is on the key factors that lead to the emergence of disputes in Islamic banking in Indonesia, the mechanisms for resolving these disputes through both litigation and non-litigation channels, and the challenges faced in implementing dispute resolution in Islamic banking in Indonesia. The research methodology employed in this study is a descriptive and qualitative approach, utilizing phenomenological and library research methods. This article will provide a more detailed discussion on the resolution of disputes in Islamic banking. The research findings indicate that the resolution of Islamic banking disputes in Indonesia occurs through two main channels: the litigation route through the Religious Court, which has exclusive jurisdiction, and the non-litigation route, such as mediation, arbitration, or through BASYARNAS, which is often preferred due to its efficiency and alignment with Islamic values. Although the legal framework for dispute resolution is clear, there are still several challenges that need to be addressed, such as limited resources, low public awareness, a lack of understanding of Sharia, and the complexity of procedures, all of which require serious attention to create a more just and effective dispute resolution process.

Cigarettes have become an integral part of human life, with many individuals considering them a primary necessity despite the widely known dangers associated with smoking. This research aims to explore the views of Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) leaders regarding the legal status of smoking, as well as to analyze the differences and similarities between the two and their implications for society. The importance of this study lies not only in enriching the body of knowledge in the field of Islamic law but also in providing better insights for the community in understanding and implementing religious teachings related to health issues and social behavior. This study employs a field research method with a qualitative approach to gain a deeper understanding of social interactions and the background of a social unit through observation, interviews, and documentation, resulting in comprehensive descriptive data regarding the phenomenon under investigation. The findings indicate that the leaders of Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama have differing views on the legal status of smoking, with Muhammadiyah issuing a fatwa declaring it haram based on the principles of Maqasid Syariah, while NU categorizes smoking as mubah, makruh, or haram depending on the context. The implications of these views are significant for society, as Muhammadiyah's fatwa is expected to raise awareness of the dangers of smoking, while NU's approach allows individuals to consider social and economic aspects in their decisions regarding smoking.

The rapid development of technology and information, particularly through social media platforms like TikTok, has significantly influenced various aspects of life, including the lifestyle of Muslim students in the Akhwal Asy-Syakhsiyyah Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kupang. This study aims to analyze the impact of TikTok usage on the lifestyle of Muslim students, with the hope of providing valuable insights for users, educational institutions, and society in optimizing the benefits of social media while minimizing its negative effects. This research employs a qualitative field-based approach with a phenomenological framework, aiming to understand the experiences of Muslim students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kupang in using TikTok and its impact on their lifestyles through verbal descriptions of behaviors, perceptions, and motivations of the subjects. Data collection involves interviews and documentation, with data analysis encompassing reduction, display, verification, and conclusion. The findings indicate that TikTok usage has a significant impact on the lifestyle of Muslim students in the Akhwal Asy-Syakhsiyyah Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kupang, where TikTok serves as an educational and inspirational tool that reinforces religious values and allows students to express their creativity. However, on the other hand, TikTok usage can also lead to inefficient time allocation and exposure to negative content, making it essential for users to be prudent in managing their time and selecting content to maximize positive impacts and minimize negative ones.

Perspektif Hukum Islam dalam Ritual Nawu Nu Maje: Penelitian di Desa Petuntawa dan Riangbao, Kecamatan Ile Ape, Kabupaten Lembata NTT

This study aims to examine and analyze the Nawu Nu Maje traditional ritual performed by the communities of Petuntawa and Riangbao villages as a means of pest control, while also viewing it from the perspective of Islamic law. The research employs a qualitative method, utilizing in-depth interviews as the data collection technique. Interviews were conducted with community leaders, religious figures, and members of the community directly involved in the ritual. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively to understand the essence and significance of the Nawu Nu Maje ritual and its impact on the religious life of the local community. The findings indicate that the Nawu Nu Maje traditional ritual is still widely practiced by the communities of Petuntawa and Riangbao as a traditional method for repelling pests that threaten crops. However, from the perspective of Islamic law, this ritual falls into the category of shirk, as it involves seeking assistance from beings or forces other than Allah. The study also concludes that the community needs to gain a deeper understanding of the dangers of shirk and the importance of purifying worship solely for Allah. There is a critical need for more intensive religious education, training, and outreach, as well as dialogue between community leaders and religious figures to find solutions that align with Islamic teachings while preserving positive cultural values.
