Perbandingan Laju Tangkap Armada Purse Seine dan Bagan Apung di Kabupaten Manggarai Timur
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the Comparison of Purse Seine and Bagan Floating Fleet Catch Rates in East Manggarai Regency. This research was conducted in June 2021. The place and location of the research is the Department of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, East Manggarai Regency. The method used in this research is qualitative method. Data were collected through secondary data with interview and documentation techniques. The number of Purse Seine fleets in East Manggarai Regency is 1,867 units, while the number of Bagan Apung fleets is 1773 units. The total Purse Seine and Bagan Apung fishing fleets for the last 5 years (2016-2020) reached 3,640 units. The total production of the Purse Seine fleet for the last 5 years is 58,141,463 ton/year while for the Floating Bagan the total production for the last 5 years is 50,885,274 ton/year. Variations in the type of Purse Seine catch are dominated by tuna, the factor causing the large number of tuna catches is because tuna is the main catch in Purse Seine fishing gear with the total catch for the last 5 years, which is 6,396.76 ton/year. for the Floating Chart, the most dominant fish caught were anchovies with the number of catches for the last 5 years (2016-2020) of 1,860.24 ton/year. The maximum catch rate is found in the Purse Seine fishing gear with the highest number of catches per trip as much as 81.7 kg, while the minimum catch rate is found in the Bagan Apung fishing gear with the highest number of catches as much as 60.5 kg kg. with a total trip per year for Purse Seine fishing gear for the last 5 years, 3,059 while for Bagan Apung fishing gear the total trip/year is 2,808.
