Bentuk, Fungsi dan Makna Tuturan Ritual Kaus Nono, dalam Perkawinan Adat Dawan
Abstract
The title of this research is “ The From, Function and Meaning of Kausnono Ritual Speech in Dawan Marriage. This Study aims to describe, interpret and explain the characteristics of the shape, function and objectives of this study,the method used is descriptive qualitative data collection methods and techniques used were the the recording of documentation studies and interviews from April to May 2019. The sources of data in this study were the Timorese, Oinlasi Village in Oenaek RT and Nunleu Village. To support the smooth collection of data, researchers used comprative requeirement being to know the ins and outs of the Kausnono stages in Dawan traditional marriages. The results showed the from of traditional marriage in the Dawan community known as Ike Suti Ankeo,Fani Benas Na’aik; The function or structure of the Kausnono ritual speech in the from of symbols, arrays and religious functions, shows a from of respect for God; educational function, giving moral teachings to the community; social control function, maintaining the procedures of community life; entertaiment function, waiting for the bride as part of the family; and the meaning of the Kausnono ritual speech that reflects a law of beauty in customary marriages that cannot be separated by anyone other than God; religious meaning, lets enter the princes into the hut, we hope and lean on the whole wood that flakes means to give a message, hope to family and ancestors that both in joy and sorrow and hope in God; social meaning, calender and the imposition of the name of the clean symbolically means a message, hope to the family and ancestors of women that after arriving at the residence of men will be held speech that binds women with Kanfatun (the name of the husbandd’s ancestors) so that in this household there are no obstacles that befall him; aesthetic meaning this horizontal kinship is then viewed as an event that happens before God.
