STUDI KETERAMPILAN MEMBILANG PADA ANAK DOWN SYNDROME MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA NUMICON
Abstract
Study Of Numbering Skills In Children With Down Syndrome Using Numicon Media. Muhammadiyah Kupang Universitas Mathematics Education Study Program. Supervisior I Mr. Ryan Nizar Zulfikar, S.Pd, M.Pd And Advisior II Mrs. Maria Martini Aba, S.Pd, M.Pd. This research was conducted to determine the numeracy skills of children with Down syndrome using the numicon media. Counting is to say the numbers based on the order. Numeral skill is the ability used to express sequential numbers by starting from "one" and connecting each number to one and only one in such a way that counting is something that is exact or real. Numicons are an arrangement of flat plastic shapes with holes inside representing the numbers 1-10 and each shape has its own color. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects in this study were grade 1 students at SLB Asuhan Kasih Kupang, totaling six students. Data collection was carried out through an oral basic number skills test and interviews with grade 1 teachers at SLB Asuhan Kasih Kupang. The results of this study show an overview of basic number skills in children with Down syndrome using numicon media at the Kasih Kupang SLB, including; (a) Six students were able to say numbers 1-10, (b) Four students were able to recognize the symbols for numbers 1-10, and (c) Four students were able to match numbers with number symbols.
