Abstract
This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of science by implementing the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model assisted by cultural diversity map media for fourth grade students of SDN Oesapa Kecil 2, Kupang City. The type of research used is classroom action research (CAR) with 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data analysis technique used through two stages, namely data collection techniques and data analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN Oesapa Kecil 2, Kupang City after implementing the Student Teams Achievement Division cooperative learning model assisted by cultural diversity map media, seen in the teacher's activities in cycle I obtained an average value of 80% in the good category. In cycle II, an average value of 91% was obtained in the very good category. Then the results of observations of student activities in cycle I obtained an average value of 72,5% in the enough category and in cycle II obtained an average value of 86.5% in the very good category. Furthermore, the learning outcomes of cycle I where students who completed were 24% and students who did not complete were 76% with an average score of 61.16%. In cycle II with an average score of 89.84% where students who completed were 92% and did not complete were 8%. which is 75. And the student response questionnaire in cycle I obtained an average score of 68.80% in the sufficient category and increased in cycle II to obtain an average score of 100% in the very good category. This proves that the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model can improve the learning outcomes of science in grade IV students of UPTD SDN Oesapa Kecil 2, Kupang City.
